History

College is established since 1989 by the Higher Education Department of M.P. Government vide order No. 2278/143/ek-f’k-/38-2/89 Bhopal Dated 12.07.1989. Initially its name was Pt. Devi Prasad Chaubey College, Saja Bemetra (C.G.) but from 2003 the college is renamed as Pt. Devi Prasad Chaubey College, Saja Bemetra (C.G.) vide order No. F 73/155/m f’k/2002 Raipur Dated 15.01.2003 of Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh Government.

It is a degree College where up to degree level study is provided to the students. Initially only the Arts Faculty was started in the College. Vide order no. 2641/ F 3-31/2012 /38-1 Dated 10.07.2012 of Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh Government Science Faculty ( Bio Group ) and Commerce Faculty are started. Now the college has the following classes and courses (2013-14)-
